These are the easiest scales, and there are four of them. Three of them use all the black notes on the piano and are all but impossible to finger wrong:
- B major uses B and E.
- Db major uses C and F.
- F# or Gb major uses B and F. In notation either B is written as Cb, or F is written as E#.
F major uses white keys plus Bb. The main thing to remember for these four scales is that the thumbs always play at the same time.
